Description:

The Austro-Hungarian troops who joined the Ottoman forces in 1915 performed their service very close to the Allies, but were never put under the administrative control of the Ottoman Empire, as the German soldiers were. Souvenirs of this very exotic mission during World War I were in high demand and were brought back to Austria after the end of the war.
