The Istanbul Main Post Office is an office building for postal services located at the Sirkeci quarter of the faith district in Istanbul, Turkey. It was designed by architect Vedat Tek in the First Turkish National architectural style and was constructed between 1903 and 1909. (Vedat Tek was a notable Turkish architect, who has been one of the leading figures of the First Turkish National Architectural Movement. He studied at the École Centrale Paris, graduating with a degree in civil engineering before he got his further education in architecture at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.) The four-story building houses a post office, the Sirkeci Post Office, office space for regional administration and also since 2000 the Istanbul Postal Museum. It is Turkey's largest post office building.
