Description:

Tevfik Fikret, who published his first book of poetry Rubab-ı Şikeste (broken instrument), dealt with love, piety, nature and a worldview that was self-enclosed to the environment. His poems influenced other Turkish poets and he is considered a pioneer of contemporary Turkish poetry. His work also has some seeds of the social opposition of the future.
