Description:

Syrian tribal leaders visited the Abbot Desmazure in 1827, in the Convent of the Latin Fathers of Jerusalem. He happily volunteered to show Jerusalem to visitors passing through the city, and tried hard to find diplomatic solutions to the religious tensions within the Christian community.
