Description:

This tile panel depicting the treshing of wheat using animals originally covered the wall of a bakery in Lisbon. Although it reproduces a traditional technique, this tile panel exemplifies the need for modernization of stores and public buildings which took place in main cities throughout Portugal by the beginning of the 20th century.
