A unique document signed by Kenny Leveck. The document is dispatched to the attorney general Mr. Odeh-Goussous informing him that the president of the high council of Kerak's national government appointed him attorney general on 21 September, 1920, asking him to take up his position seriously and actively. At the end of the letter is the signature “chief of high council, British resident, Major Kenny Leveck,” then a stamp of Kenny Leveck in Arabic. To the right is the translation of the signature in English, "F.M Kenny leveck, A political officer and president of council, Kerak." (The letter A means Acting.) Kenny Leveck was in Kerak for a couple of weeks, where he headed the new administration formed from the Elders of the Kerak Tribes known as “the National Government of Moab”. It is not true what Sir Alec Seath Kirkbirde mentioned in his book A Crackle of Thorns, page 21-22, that he was elected by the council of Kerak and became head of the High Council of Kerak, or as he says on page 22, he “became head of a more less independent republic”.
