Description:

The Violin was not a popular instrument in 16th century except among patrons of taverns. In the early 19th century, musicians used both types of violin – the legged violin and the sine or "chest" violin – but the sine violin disappeared afterwards. The legged violin has a cylindrical body with a relatively long handle. The cut body is made of coconut shell and covered with leather.
