Description:

Kütahya was the second most important ceramic production centre after İznik due to the rich clay deposits in the area. Although there was a decline in ceramic production at the beginning of the 19th century, in the last quarter of the same century production was revived and new designs inspired by İznik ceramics were produced. This is a Kütahya-produced vase whose body enlarges toward the top. It has a floral design on a blue base. The inner part of the notched mouth is white.
