La zaouia de Sidi Sahbi, Kairouan
This book cover from Rabat is decorated with a red and gold moulded pattern. The central medallion contains various florets, with two teardrops in a similar pattern emanating from it. The rectangular borders are made of a geometric interlaced pattern, whereas the four concave corners are surrounded by a curved border and floral motifs. This cover is evidence of the influence of the Ottoman school on Tunisian book covers.
