This is a Portuguese case of this scientific transnational reality. Herbarium sheet with three fruiting specimens of Aegilops ovata. The specimens were collected in Algeria, in May 1840 by the Scientific Commission of Argelia, under M. Durieu supervision. It includes a label with the scientific name and collecting details, as well as a color scale and a linear scale. A detail: Genus Aegilops is possibly one of the ancestors to common wheat.
