Description:

This photograph was taken in Tartij, a village in the Mount Lebanon district. The sign behind the children reads "Vive L'Académie Tartej (Liban)" (Long Live Tartij Academy (Lebanon)). The young boys on the far sides are wearing traditional baggy trousers called shirwal. The younger boys underneath the sign are barefoot.
