Description:

This pendant was used on the horses of Ottoman officials and indicated their high status and wealth. It is made of a single, lozenge-shaped silver plaque decorated with red coral and blue gemstones. Silver leaf-shaped pendants dangle from this plaque and produce a tinkling noise when moving, announcing the arrival of the rider.
