Description:

This necklace was used on the horses of Ottoman officials and indicated their high status and wealth. The chain consists of fifteen silver squares with sawtooth framing, connected to a smaller rectangular silver piece and three dangling silver bells. The silver squares are decorated with red coral semi-precious gemstones arranged in a circular shape. The bells would make a tinkling noise and announce the arrival of the rider.
