1906
In 1906, in celebration of the Simplon Tunnel opening between Italy and Switzerland, the Italian government organised an international exhibition in Milan. On that occasion, Italian communities in Egypt and Tunisia published books that described their lives and activities.
In Tunisia, Italians entrepreneurs and professionals set up a committee charged with organising the participation to the exhibition of the Italian community in Tunisia.
