Algiers, 12 March 1787
The Dey of Algiers wrote that he graciously granted to the King of Naples a two-month truce (for April and May of 1787). If his corsairs met ships belonging to the Kingdom of Naples, they would not attack them. The two nations would treat each other “with mutual friendship”.
