Description:

In June 1890, the Sultan of Morocco sent an Ambassador to Italy (Hagi El Maati el Mazamizi), to meet the Italian King and present him with extremely rich gifts.
The Ambassador was received with the highest honours. He met with the Italian Prime Minister and with the King, who offered a gala dinner for him.
This chart shows that at the gala dinner the Italian King was sitting in front of the Queen. At her right was sitting the Crown Prince and at her left was Ambassador Hagi El Maati el Mazamizi. The Italian Prime Minister and other members of the government participated in the dinner, together with the members of the Ambassador’s escort.
