1878
Paris, International Exhibition, 1878. The text of the magazine describes a big tent built in the garden of the Algerian Pavilion with camel fur, fixed with ropes of the same material and strong bamboo canes. Some Arabian men stayed there, sent by the general Algerian governor, and dressed in the typical light-blue uniform of the "Turkish people", or with a red blanket, typical of the region. The Algerian Pavilion was meant to represent the colony through the reproduction of the Campo Marte and Trocadero buildings and also in the garden.
