Description:

A sprinkler made of brownish glass with enamel decoration of sprigs with flowers. The sprinkler is made in a Bohemian workshop and imitates the glass production of the Istanbul workshops – the Beykoz glass. The shape with the screw stopper is identical to the Ottoman prototypes while the decoration is different and more naturalistic. Made in Bohemian workshops. A complex and well organized sales network was spread in the eastern Mediterranean and constituted a binding link between western knowledge and Islamic aesthetics preserving a lucrative market for European works of glass with shapes and decoration of oriental inspiration.
