Description:

This textile was displayed in the exhibition about Islamic Art held in Munich in 1910, as part of the Miquel i Badia collection. Afterwards it was acquired by Lázaro Galdiano, one of the most important Spanish art collectors. It is important to note Lazaro Galdiano's interest in and art appraisal of objects from the Spanish Muslim period. He was one of the earliest collectors of Arab art in Spain. The decoration is similar to the Golden Room of the Alhambra palace and it could be the Mohammad V period.
