Description:

Portrait of Petar (Pezia) Petrovic. He was Chief of the Albanian Mirdita tribes fighting against the Turks in 1876. This insurrection against the Turks provoked the 1878 Congress of Berlin, which led to the occupation of Bosnia-Herzegovina by the Austrian Empire.
