Description:

Portrait of Stefan Petrovic Knicanin. The Serbian officer Stefan Petrovic Knicanin supported the Austrian Emperor during the 1848 revolution. In 1849 he returned to Serbia and fostered good relations between Serbia and Austria. He died in 1855 in Belgrade.
