The Maria Theresian Thaler, a large silver coin originally created by Queen (Empress) Maria Theresia, minted in Austria until 1890. It was used in the Arabic Peninsula as a means of payment. This coin was countersigned at the Arabian mint of Ras Bab el Mandeb in 1890.
