Silver knife with silver handle and niello decoration on the front; metal on the backside and four Turkish coins along the edge of the sheath; a name (‘Jomaah Ali’) is inscribed on the blade of the dagger. This object is functional and can be used in everyday activities, but at the same time it is a prestigious object that every Bedouin man must have. The most common types of daggers in Jordan are the Yemeni dagger, the Hijazi and other local types.
