Description:

International Exhibition in Paris, 1878. Tunisia is represented by the creation of different bazaars. The reporter's descriptions of Cattan's Bazaar report mainly religious objects such as wooden rosary beads, mother-pearl crosses and the biblical plant, the Rose of Jericho. The Ben Athia Bazaar displayed cultural objects from Tunisia: luxury arms, rich materials, embroidery, perfumes of roses, bronze and enamelled jewellery. The Eskenazi bazaar displayed various antique objects.
