1878
International Exhibition in Paris, 1878. Tunisia is represented by the creation of different bazaars. The reporter's descriptions of Cattan's Bazaar report mainly religious objects such as wooden rosary beads, mother-pearl crosses and the biblical plant, the Rose of Jericho. The Ben Athia Bazaar displayed cultural objects from Tunisia: luxury arms, rich materials, embroidery, perfumes of roses, bronze and enamelled jewellery. The Eskenazi bazaar displayed various antique objects.
