1878
Within the International Exhibition in Paris, 1878, commercial activities typical of the colony were performed in the park next to Trocadero Pavilion. Working activities were part of the project of the reconstruction of a hypothetical neighbourhood. The picturesque recreation of the Algerian surroundings includes a drinkseller offering lemonade kept fresh inside "alcarazas” made by red earth.
