Description:

An Iznik flask, with a spherical body and a long neck, is decorated with polychrome flowers: roses, hyacinth and carnations and the neck displays vertical panels. Bought by A. Benakis in Cairo in 1920 and according to the etiquettes under the base it was part of the 1885 exhibition at the Burlington Arts Club in London and of the 1925 exhibition in Alexandria. Ottoman c. 1575.
