This musket, along with other pieces, was taken by Salvador de Foronda, a member of the Spanish Army, awarded for his actions in battle. He was a relative of the Marquis of Cerralbo and donated to his uncle’s museum these exceptional pieces in 1918. The Moorish musket, a long firearm that could be shot with a single arm while riding the horse, was described by Salvador as “one of the most ancient and authentic", a truly beauty with damascene work, romantically infused with the testimony of the war.
