Description:

This print shows the Ibrahim Pasha camp at Jaffa during the Egyptian – Ottoman War (1830–1833). Muhammad Ali Pasha demanded control of Greater Syria for the Ottoman Empire. Ali sent his army into Syria under the command of his son Ibrahim Pasha. The Egyptian navy landed at Jaffa.
