Description:

Built between 1892 to 1894, the Dar al-Baladiyya was a prestigious edifice in stone. With its neo-classical elements and prominent middle projection, it was designed to display the power of the “new” state. The purpose of building the City Hall was functional, since the administrative workload, which rapidly increased after the reforms of the administrative system had to be accommodated.
